Töshey songs

Töshey songs, which originated from Western Tibet, are of a very different style from that of the Nangma, but they are also constitutive of a rich and homogeneous musical style.

These songs are mostly sung at the occasion of auspicious events, when men and women gather spontaneously and dance in a big circle. The rythm of the song is given by the voice of the singers and the stomping of their feet.
